As per my experience staying healthy parallel to what you do either be studies, playing games or any other will help you stay fit and away from diseases in the long run.
In this blog, I am going to discuss a few healthy habits that are highly beneficial, how to start those healthy habits and the importance of healthy habits in your study life.
During the age of 13-21 is when you go through a lot of changes. You start to become more independent and you’re going towards being an adult. However, you’re still growing. So, it’s important to make sure that you get some specific types of nutrients that are very helpful for your growth.
The bottom line of nutrition is, it provides you energy likewise we also need enough vitamins, minerals, proteins and various other healthy nutrients to stay fit. It is true that eating well and good nutrition helps to perform better in the classroom or any other activities that you do. Keeping yourself in a healthy diet makes the brain and muscles work well, which helps your body to be more coordinated.

Particularly, if you’re active you should take an initiative to learn how to cook for the betterment and healthy growth of your body.
Make sure you know what your body needs during this study period. It is a critical time for you to build a good relationship with the best and healthy food. Always be conscious of what you put inside your body
Food nourishes your body that gives you energy and helps in your growth to be strong and healthy. Help yourself to cook meals for yourself. Watch youtube, read a recipe guide, take the guide from your mom and come up with new ideas to create a healthy and tasty meal.
2. Plan Your Diet
A teenager should always be careful about what they eat every day. Try to give your body the number of nutrients according to how much your body needs in a day starting from breakfast to dinner. Plan your diet according to your needs. Read a book, google about it, ask a dietician and try to gain as much knowledge as you can. A poor diet can lead to several health problems. It can cause you to gain weight, high blood pressure, constipation problems and lead you even in concentrating problems on your studies.
As a student you have a lot of activities indulge in your life. Therefore, you must add more energy from good sources to keep your body active in doing all the daily basic tasks. Better late than never! Make a healthy diet plan of what to eat every day that are much easier to keep following.
3. Don’t Skip Breakfast
Breakfast is highly considered as the most important meal of the day. Students should eat breakfast every day without skipping before going for their work.
This to keep away from hunger and avoid overeating at lunch. Besides, you’re likely going to skip junk food throughout the day, whether it be in a canteen or somewhere else in outlet stores. A breakfast meal with a whole grain served with low-fat milk with no sugar can provide plenty of healthy components such as vitamins, minerals, and fiber to your body. Eating breakfast every day has so many benefits.

- Decreases appetite.
- Avoid overeating.

There’s a thousand of advice out there on the most proficient method to eat healthily. If we’re being honest, it can sometimes feel like an excessive amount to think about.
Particularly when you’re hungry. As you grow you require more calories to be added into your body. Healthy nutrients like carbohydrate, calcium, protein, fiber, and iron are very essential in student life. Go for a healthy nutritious meal every day that helps to maintain your weight and doesn’t make you feel weak.

Most high schoolers and college students can easily eat up an entire pizza for dinner and still be hungry for a snack by bedtime. Taking a good diet like lean protein and veggies won’t do you any good if you’re washing it down with tons of calorie-laden beverages.
Always try to drink a good amount of water as soon as you wake up.

Students in their study life should avoid soda drinks and sweet beverages. These drinks are useless to your growth and give rise to many risk health problems like:

Addiction to junk food results in the rejection of healthier food options like fruits, vegetables, salads, etc. leading to further lack of nourishment. However, you know what! Your body can’t run on poor fuel. Hence, eating healthier foods will boost more activism and energy for your body.
Also, eating healthy foods aids in weight loss, reduce cancer and diabetes risk, keeps heart healthy and improves memory.
7. Change Your Eating Environment
A good environment is always a better place to be in. Similarly, make sure to be in a place that serves you with good and healthy foods. Always try visiting a place that serves you with healthier food choices as per your budget and requirement.
If your surroundings aren’t in order, they can push you to eat more junk foods or eat worse foods that are not good for your health.
The first thing after we sit to eat can set the tone for a meal. Use that natural tendency towards convenience to your advantage by starting dinner with a salad or soup. Reduce the size of your plate and meals.
People serve more food on larger plates. It’s almost guaranteed that if you use a smaller plate, you’ll eat less. Many teenagers eat junk food every day when they go out for shopping or out with their friends.
Change your gathering place with your friends at the local neighborhood takeaway shop or food outlets that serve healthier foods. For example wholemeal rolls with vegetable fillings or sushi etc. Avoid eating high-fat foods every time you visit a fast food outlet with your friends.
On the off chance that you need to change your eating environment:
- Ask your school authority to include a range of affordable low prices healthy foods in your school canteen.
- Turn your home into a good eating environment by including healthy foods on your daily diet.
- If someone in your family is eating junk food, teach them the facts about what it can do in the long run.

8. Cut From Sugary Drinks
Every teenager reaches a point in life when they are very fond of sweet beverages.
Most of you get very obsessive in sugary drinks because I know it tastes good, smells good and feels good after drinking. But, no it’s not by the taste you assume it a healthy one.
Consumed in excess, added sugar can adversely affect your health likewise can hurt mental health. Sweet drinks are strongly linked to gain weight! Large amounts of sugar from these drinks are turned into fat after you drink it.
Some health risk of sugar drinks are:
- Heart disease.
- Tooth decay.
- Metabolic Syndrome.
Cut back from sugary soft drinks, sugar-free drinks are still okay to drink sometimes but too regular will again damage your health. We all know that water is the healthiest drink on earth.
Drink plenty of water because water does not harm the body. To increase its taste you can add lemon juice, and orange juice as well. They do not harm! Another alternative to water is coconut water.
